Do you like my boots?

Aunt Elyse gave me some boots to wear during the yucky spring-time thaw.  What do you think of them?

I think I have some more growing to do before I can wear them though....

My First Fashion Show...

Eden was invited to be a part of a fashion show in Nappanee last Saturday.  She was asked to "model" some hairbows and embellished clothing.  We were pretty proud of her as she didn't run away and only fell down one time.  Here are some clips of both of her passes down the catwalk:!

Here are some photos of her:

Eve and I aren't sure if we will let Eden make a career out of modeling but we thought we would at least let her try it one time!

Another New Hobby..

The video doesn't quite get the full effect but you can see the major parts.  About every other night Eden will work her way under the table and then methodically push every chair out from the table.  She loves it.  We are glad she has healthy ways to express herself:

Mess? To what mess are you referring Dad?

Oh, you must be talking about the living room:

Let me think about that for a second.  I'm sure there is a perfectly reasonable explanation:

I remember now...I was just having a wonderful time playing with all the fun things my loving family and friends have gotten for me.  I hope that's okay?

It sure is Sweetheart!

7 Years...Part 2

After the positive responses we received from our previous post, we decided to do an interview with Sherman S. Mock to find out what he has thought of the past 7 years.  We asked some hard-hitting questions and he gave some honest answers.  We hope you enjoy:

7 Years Ago Today...

Hard to believe but today marks the 7th anniversary of Sherman Stetson Mock as a part of our family.  To celebrate the occasion we put together a few pictures of some of the fun times we have had.  We know he is only a dog, and sometimes he seems to be more trouble than we have the time or patience for, but to us he has been a blessing that has always (for good or for bad,) taken our minds off of the "stresses of the world."

Lots of times playing dress up or just plain being silly:

Hundreds of walks and many comfortable beds to rest on:

Birthday parties and baths:

More destruction than we care to remember:

Suffering heat exhaustion and having to be medically transported at a heart walk:

Realizing that "Something is up" as we were getting ready for Eden to arrive:

And finally meeting her and quickly switching from Sherm the Destroyer to Sherm the Protector:

Until she became mobile and good rest became hard to come by:

It's all worth it though because you've shown your love to one another and are well on your way to being best friends:

Sherman, you were the perfect dog at the perfect time when we adopted you. We are very excited to see how having a dog like you in her life will positively impact Eden over (hopefully) the next 7 years!  Thanks for the memories!
