Happy Easter!

I had a wonderful Easter and was so glad I could participate in the Easter Egg hunt with my cousins.  Here are some photos from my day and a video of me in action:

A Saturday with Daddy!

Mom was away at a scrapbook weekend the past few days so Dad had me all to his self.  When this happened in the past (re: when I was just a baby) he could make sure I was dressed warmly, fed, and had a clean diaper and I pretty much slept all the time.  In other words...he had it easy.  NOT ANYMORE!
Now I'm a curious little ball of chaos that must keep moving near the speed of light.  He tackles the situation by keeping me moving from place to place like we're on the lam.  It seems to help as I don't really get too comfortable in any one place and therefore, don't cause too much trouble :)  Here's a sample of our Saturday:

When "on the lam" you have to start your day with a hearty breakfast:

First stop: Erv's Vac Shop (reason for going after the pics):

Notice me pointing to the picture of the "bad doggy" (he'd had an accident on the carpet it seems.)  I commented on how he was a bad doggy just like Sherman...the reason we were at Erv's.  You see, Sherman decided to chew up the rubber ring from our blender and since Erv's is an authorized repair shop, they had a replacement.  Bad Dog Sherm!

A quick trip to Kroger then Daddy treated me to one of my favorite things,
A Cheesy Rice Burrito from Taco Bell:

Unfortunately, I fell asleep on the way home (lots of excitement in the morning I guess and probably part of Daddy's master plan) and didn't get to eat my burrito on Saturday :(

I needed my rest though.  Daddy and Mommy kept saying all week "are you excited to see Barbara, you're going to get to see Barbara."  I wasn't sure what they meant cause Barbara (my babysitter) has been gone at Bible School for about 8 weeks.  She promised she would come back and I trust her.  When she's done, she'll be back.  Little did I know that her school was stopping in the area to do a Choral Performance and that I would get to see her Saturday and again on Sunday!  I was very excited once I figured it all out and was getting a huge hug from Barbara once again!  We even a had a beautiful weekend to celebrate and when I saw her on Saturday, she played with me on the swingset.  Look at how happy I was:

After we saw Barbara we headed to Warsaw to visit my Uncle Jay and Aunt Lisa.  I hadn't seen them in awhile and owed them some good quality "Eden time."  Here I am at their place "being creative" by turning a step stool into a picnic table.  I was trying to climb in an out at of the table at least 50 times.  I think I met my goal:

We had one more stop to make before we headed back to the homestead.  My cousin Rocky had his doctors appt Saturday morning and they told him he was a bit too heavy.  Sad I know. He's so young and they are already telling him he's, well, let's just say it...fat.  This culture we live in is ridiculous.  I love him the way he is but the doctor thought he needed to be on "weight control" food.  We stopped at Wal Mart to pick up his food and I was curious as to why Sherman was on the package???:

It was then off to home for a very good night's sleep.  I had a lot of fun with my family and friends that day.  I've truly been blessed to have them around.

Finally, I'll let the audience confirm my thoughts on my cousin.  He's just the cutest little thing, not fat at all:

Feed Myself??? Really!!!

So, Dad and I were home alone the other night and I had to remind him that even though I'll always be his little girl, I am starting to get bigger and my fine motor skill development is moving right along.  Which led me to ask when he and Mom would let me try and feed myself?  He thought about it for a second and said out loud "no better time than when your Mom isn't here to freak out about the mess that's sure to be made." I'll let the videos and still shots speak for themselves:

I might need a bit more practice...
