Growing Up and Making Friends

Well hello there....have we met before?  My name is Eden and I am 7 months old now.  

You seem nice, I think we could be friends.  

Oh....you have a bottle, too?!?  Let me try yours.....

Mind sharing one of your feet for me to play with?  I love feet!   

And I'll just chew on your ear for a bit.  I like to put everything in my mouth. 

Shhhh....your secret's safe with me....I can't talk yet (except to say DaDaDaDa!!)

Now we see why friends said it gets more challenging to get a good picture as the months go along! 

It really was hilarious when we sat Eden down next to the rabbit for her 7 month shot.  It was as if the rabbit was a new friend, just her size, to play with.  Then she went straight for the bottle and put it in her mouth!!  I don't know if she actually recognized it as such, but it sure seemed like she did.   Good times.  :)   

Getting Closer

Some updates since we last spoke of the house....

Appliances delivered this past weekend:

Kitchen cabinets and lights installed and deck started:

Fireplace stone and mantle completed:

And the infamous closet has been created:

Now, we just need the rain to stop so we can fix this mess:

 

Let's Try Something New

*Disclaimer - No babies were harmed during this feeding, despite what the look on their face may suggest otherwise....

About three weeks ago we noticed Eden was paying more attention to us as we were eating and knew it was time to try feeding her some rice cereal.  We talked about it as family and she seemed to be very open to the idea.

Daddy got to give her the first taste and being the curious thing that she is, she opened her mouth big and wide and took a nice spoonful of cereal.

We soon sensed that things were starting to head downhill after about the third bite.  Eden starting going all "wiggly worm" and trying to do everything but eat the cereal. 

Which was shortly followed by:

Pitiful isn't it?  Although the first time with cereal was a bit traumatic for her, Eden is liking it much more nowadays.

Enough about the silly house Mom and Dad.  The folks want to see more of me.  Can you blame them?  Let's tell them about some of the different types of fun we've had lately.
